On Wednesday, Dec. 17, Dura-Last inc. unveiled new equipment at its Buena Vista headquarters that represents the company’s largest investment ever. Duro-Last CEO Tom Saeli and Mildred Burt, wife of founder John R. Burt, unveiled a new PVC extruder, which makes roofing membranes.

Duro-Last President Tom Hollingsworth said it is the company’s largest single investment in equipment ever.  He expects this investment will lead to job creation. “We’re going to be out there taking market shares from competition and growing our business and, obviously, to continue to grow business you have to have employees to make it happen.”

Duro-Last is the world’s largest manufacturer of custom prefabricated, thermoplastic single-ply roofing systems. Hollingsworth said Duro-Last officials are committed to the industry and to the community. “(That’s) why we made the investment in our manufacturing footprint here in Buena Vista Township.”
